Two days of doll-making workshop with all materials provided. We will be making a 14" doll with traditional face, ears, and little buttocks. For the hair of the doll, we will be using mohair boucle yarn.

It is not necessary to have doll-making experience for this workshop(although it can be useful), but hand sewing embroidering and basic crochet skills are needed.

The full price is £210 for the workshop and the materials for making your doll. After the workshop you will receive a tutorial and pattern for the doll we have made. The full amount is payable at the workshop. With the £50 deposit you secure your space. The deposit is unrefundable.

Making a doll just from some warm soft wool and doll jersey just using your hands is a wonderful experience. All dolls have their own little personality. Come and spend a couple of days with some like-minded people and get creative.

On both days ( 9-10th October ) it will be from 9 am till 6 pm. On Sunday we might finish earlier. I will try to make sure that you will be going home with a ready Waldorf doll.

All of the sewing work in the two days will be hand-stitching. We will not use sewing machines. I will be presewing the body of the dolls with a sewing machine

This doll making workshop will cover, making and shaping the head of a traditional Waldorf doll, stuffing the limbs, stitching the body together, crotcheting hair and embroidering the eyes and the mouth of your doll. You can add ears to your doll, and little knees and buttocks.

If you can not crochet please let me know and I can crochet the cap for your wig for an additional £10. I also will have some short hair brushed mohair wigs available if you wish to purchase one.

We will not have time to make a dress for the doll, but there will be dresses available to purchase for an additional £15  and you will be provided with patterns for making some outfits for your doll.

The class will be small in order to give more teaching time and support to participants, there will is only seven places in the workshop.

As you will be sitting close next to each other for a long time, to protect each other it is necessary that you only attend the workshop if you are fully vaccinated. If the cases are high, I also might ask you to do a rapid test berfore the workshop.

You will need to bring your own lunch but refreshments will be provided.

Please have a look at the skin and hair colours available, and choose the one you wish to have for your doll.

The workshop is going to take place in my home, Hereford ( HR2 7SP ) , United Kingdom, near the welsh border.

If you need accommodation please get in touch. I can recommend some in my neighbourhood.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have a question!
